Honda once again top of the board in the morning session at Sebring. Honda appears to have an incredibly strong car as the 2026 season looms. Marcus Armstrong tops the afternoon session of Indycar testing today on Sebring’s short course. 11 drivers took to the track in the second session where the Honda cars are looking strong as they top both sessions. Indycar took to the Sebring short course today for the first day of a two day test at Sebring. Of note every team is here with the exception of Prema Racing. Right now it sounds likely there first race with be Long Beach in April, with likely only one car and that will be Callum Ilott. Yesterday was a day awaited by many as Mick Schumacher got his first taste of what’s its like to be racing on a oval in a Indycar. Homestead Miami Speedway was where the test took place and right off the back Schumacher found the limit pretty early on. Schumacher logged 97 laps as tire degradation was higher than usual. Announced today Jagger Jones will continue racing with Fast MD in the IMSA VP Sports Car Challenge this time he joins the four race endurance challenge which starts at Sebring next month. Tower Motorsports announces today that current driver Sebastian Boursdais will depart the team effective immediately. Bourdais joined the team last year and helped lead them to a Rolex 24 win that unfortunately didn’t count due to a post race penalty they did however secure a podium at the Sebring 12 Hours. Paul Miller Racing wins a tense and strategic battle over the 75 Sun Energy Racing Mercedes.
