TechSport Racing’s Devin Anderson takes maiden Mustang Challenge victory in race two at Laguna Seca. Anderson who started on pole on a wet but drying track took a 0.929 second victory over second place Sandy Satullo following a two minute showdown after a late full course yellow. Turner Motorsports claims its 50th GS class victory today at Laguna Seca. Where Luca Mars and Dillon Machavern came out on top. Mars stretched the lead to over 4 seconds at the checkered flag over the CSM Porsche who passed the MMR Mustang on fuel mileage. Callum Hedge takes a breakthrough victory in race 1 in a very hectic 40 minutes around the Miami International Autodromo. Hedge was able to avoid an opening corner incident which took out front runner Aaron Jeansome. WTR’s number 40 of Louis Deletraz stays top of the board at the conclusion of FP2. Deletraz reeled off a 1:14.183 to edge out ahead of the 24 BMW by 0.183 seconds. Jack Aitken was third aboard his Action Express Cadillac. The 90 minute session ran without any red flags but there two notable incidents involving the GTP cars. The 10 Cadillac clipped one of the BMW GTP’s at the top of the corkscrew which sent me into the barriers. Alberquerque was able to drive back to the pits.

Round 3 Racing’s Cole Loftsgard is now 3 for 3 on the season after taking his third consecutive victory at Laguna Seca. Loftsgard took a 1:029 second victory over pole sitter Devin Anderson who led the early portions of the race. A familiar face takes pole position for the Michelin Pilot Challenge race tomorrow at Laguna Seca Nate Cicero edges out Ford Koch aboard his Copeland Koch Toyota. Cicero layed down a 1:28.848 he was 0.058 seconds quicker than Ford Koch’s Toyota Supra. This marks Cicero’s second pole of the season dating back to round one at Daytona. The number 12 of Varun Chokey qualified in third aboard his Rafa Racing Toyota Supra.

Pro-Am entered number 10 WTR takes the top spot in the final practice session for round two of the Super Trofeo Series at Laguna Seca. Danny Formal set the benchmark lap time of a 1:23.290 over Pro class entry of Will Bamber 0.152 seconds off. The BSI entered Toyota of Lucus Weisenberg a further 0.167 seconds back. With the WinWard Mercedes rounding out the top three. The number 33 BHA Hyundai set the 13th overall fastest lap during the session. The session saw a single red flag involving the 72 car. Will Bamber leads the way in FP1 at Laguna Seca. The kiwi racer is in his first race weekend with his new team XONINE Racing, Bamber was able to reel off a 1:23.127 in his number 33 entry. He was 0.337 seconds quicker than Pro-Am entered Danny Formal in second. Dennis Lind was in third place he is the new driver for TR3 Racing replacing Will Bamber. The 45 minute session ran without any interruptions with FP2 scheduled for later today.

CrowdStrike Racing announces today its lineup in the LMP2 Pro-Am class for this year’s running of the Le Mans 24 Hours. Former Indy NXT racer Nolan Allaer is set to make his IMSA debut at Laguna Seca in the Mustang Challenge Series. Allaer is going to be joining the Spark Performance team. Allaer who didn’t end up returning to the Indy NXT field spent the beginning of the year racing in the Formula Regional Ocenia Championship. Allaer is making his debut at a track he has experience in Indy NXT and with a highly successful Spark Performance team.
