Nielsen Racing’s James Allen will join AO Racing for Le Mans

Writer: Chase Gibson

The esteemed 24 hours of Le Mans was given a twist today, with the announcement of racing team AO Racing’s new character “Rockie the Pegasus”, also presenting a now changed lineup for Le Mans. AO retains both American software developer Pj Hyett, and driver Dane Cameron, but LMP2 veteran James Allen will join alongside the American squad for the Le Mans 24 Hours. Swiss driver Louis Deletraz was slated to join the team for Le Mans, however in light of a surgery British driver Alex Lynn will undergo in June, he will return to the Hertz Team JOTA team. With Lynn’s absence first two rounds of the season, and now with Le Mans following close behind, it appears the British racer will likely miss the majority of the season. Deletraz will be back in the seat to test the Cadillac Hypercar at Silverstone, ahead of Le Mans.
