Westphal claims a BMW front row lockout

CarBahn and AutoTechnic BMW leads a clean sweep of the front row for the German manufacturer. Jeff Westphal has scored pole for tomorrow’s second four race of the season at Mid Ohio. Westphal aboard the number 39 CarBahn BMW reeled off a chart topping 1:25.216 edging out the AutoTechnic BMW of Stevan McAleer by 0.375 seconds. This marked a new GS track record and Westphal first pole position since 2011. Trenton Estepp aboard his Van Der Steur Aston Martin goes third ahead of Ford Koch aboard his Copeland Motorsports Toyota Supra. Moiskey Uretsky completes the top 5 aboard his Ibiza Farm McLaren. TCR pole honors went to Roco Pasquarella for the second time this season with a lap time of 1:26.564 a new TCR track record. 0.008 seconds behind was Bryson Morris aboard his BHA Hyundai. Dai Yoshihara completed the top 3 putting 2 Hondas in the top 3.
