Gossett claims first win in race at St Pete

The first of two races at St Pete was in a wet but drying track where Bobby Gossett played strategy and patience to advantage taking the lead on lap one and never looking back. After multiple safety cars and having to nail restarts and fending off hard charges from Jeremy Fletcher and Jared Thomas. Gossett has able to keep his tires cool and hold a hard charge. Unfortunately the race finished under the safety car due to Fernando Luque having a hard impact. Race is two is on deck tomorrow evening.

Race 1 podium:

  1. Bobby Gossett

  2. Jared Thomas

  3. Matt Novak
