Sebastian Bourdais departs Tower Motorsports LMP2 squad

Tower Motorsports announces today that current driver Sebastian Boursdais will depart the team effective immediately. Bourdais joined the team last year and helped lead them to a Rolex 24 win that unfortunately didn’t count due to a post race penalty they did however secure a podium at the Sebring 12 Hours. The reason for this departure is so that Bourdais and give his full focus to his FIA WEC commitments with the Hertz Team JOTA team. Bourdais was set to contest 6 of the 7 LMP2 events with bronze rated John Farano. Bourdais joined John Farano, Sebastian Alvarez, and Kyffin Simpson at the Rolex 24. A replacement for Bourdais has yet to be announced.
