Yesterday was a day awaited by many as Mick Schumacher got his first taste of what’s its like to be racing on a oval in a Indycar. Homestead Miami Speedway was where the test took place and right off the back Schumacher found the limit pretty early on. Schumacher logged 97 laps as tire degradation was higher than usual. Mick was able to lean on Graham Rahal who was able to shake the car down and his driver coach Ryan Briscoe was on scene. Mick will get back in the car on Monday and Tuesday for testing Sebring on the short course. The following week he will join most of the grid at Phoenix for more oval testing this time he will get to experience traffic on a oval for the first time.
