Team Penske and Porsche reign supreme at Daytona with a third consecutive victory at the Rolex 24. Felipe Nasr who drove so much of the race drove flawlessly becoming only the third driver to win three overall wins in a row at Daytona joining Peter Gregg and Helio Castroneves. The Brazilian ace had a titanic final battle with the 31 Cadillac driven by Jack Aitken. Aitken had opportunities but unfortunately it looked as he had used his stuff to early and allowed Nasr to drive away. Both of Nasr’s co drivers Laurin Heinrich and Julian Andlauer both scored there first victories at the Rolex 24. Most of the GTP cars finished without any significant issues. The 23 Heart of Racing Valkyrie battle numerous electrical issues before suffering rear end suspension failure with Roman De Angelis at the wheel. The number 10 WTR Cadillac ended with a engine failure with just over two hours remaining. Porsche wins Daytona the 31 Cadillac takes second and the 24 BMW Team WRT claims third overall.
