
Nick Yelloly puts his Acura on pole at Long Beach

Acura’s Meyer Shank Racing takes pole position for the first sprint race of the 2026 season at Long Beach. Nick Yelloly laid down a flying 1:11.626 during Friday evening’s qualifying session. Marco Wittman was just 0.030 seconds slower in the 25 Team WRT BMW. Louis Deletraz slotted into third place in his number 40 Cadillac. With the 31 Action Express Cadillac of Jack Aitken taking fourth. The number 7 factory Porsche which is carrying 45 kilograms of extra weight rounds out the top five driven by Julien Andlauer. The number 60 MSR Acura will start last in tomorrow’s race after missing qualifying as they underwent a chassis change following Colin Braun’s accident in practice session 2.
