
McLaren Trophy America announces 2027 calendar

For 2027 the single make series McLaren Trophy Cup America will move under the IMSA Sanctioning Body. The season will see a five event ten race weekend featuring one of the most varied calendars for the single make series in North America. The championship will kick off in early April at Barber Motorsports Park as part of the NTT Indycar Series weekend, before returning to the highly anticipated Miami Grand Prix playing support to Formula 1. The next two events will play support to the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship in June at Watkins Glenn followed by a return to Virginia International Raceway as apart of the Michelin GT Challenge weekend. The series will end out the 2027 season in mid September at the Circuit of the Americas playing support to the FIA WEC Lone Star Le Mans. Two events remain under the SRO sanction including this weekend at Road America and then a triple header to end the 2026 championship at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
