Cadillac leads 1-2–3 in opening practice at Laguna Seca

Wayne Taylor takes 1-2 in opening practice session of the weekend at Laguna Seca. Louis Deletraz led a Cadillac sweep of the top three positions. The Swiss born driver layed down a fastest time of a 1:14.333. Deletraz was around half a second faster than teammate Filipe Alberquerque in the number 10 WTR Cadillac. Jack Aitken slotted into third aboard his Action Express Racing Cadillac. GTD Pro was led by the number 3 Corvette by Pratt Miller Motorsports of Alex Sims laying down a 1:22.113. It was 0.43 seconds quicker than GTD class leader Frederik Schandorff aboard his Inception Racing Ferrari 296. While multiple cars had off track excursions no red flags flew during the 90 minute practice session. Of note all three Porsche 963s had off track excursions. Tomorrow will sees teams second and final practice session of the weekend alongside qualifying for Sunday’s race.
