Race 2 of the Canada round for the IMSA VP Sports Car Challenge sees Wyatt Brickacek bounce back in a major way by taking victory in the second race of the weekend. Brickacek once again started on the pole position unlike yesterday he kept his car in column formation till after taking the green flag, he was able to build a sizable lead over second place Oscar Tunjo very early won. Brickacek went on to win by 5.9 seconds over Tunjo and 2023 LMP3 champion Bijoy Garg rounding out the podium. In GSX a new winner emerged as current points leader Westin Workman’s 7 race win streak comes to an end after slowing on the front stretch 3 laps into the race. This opened door to second place starter Ismaeel Ellahi to take the lead. Ellahi had to play defense throughout the race as Courtney Crone kept in Ellahi’s footsteps throughout the race. Ellahi was able to hold on and score his first victory by 0.289 seconds over Courtney Crone, with Justin Di Benedetto rounding out the podium.
