Scott Dixon will depart Chip Ganassi Racing at seasons end

Scott Dixon announces he will depart his role at Chip Ganassi Racing at seasons end ending a 24 year partnership. Dixon achieved 6 championships a Indy 500 and many wins with the CGR team. CGR wanted to sign him to a long year deal to allow Dixon to retire with the CGR team. Right now it’s unclear who will replace Dixon but it sounds like Dixon is headed to Arrow McLaren. As the series heads to Mid Ohio this weekend it will mark 1 year since Dixon’s last victory. This season so far Dixon’s best finish has been a third at Long Beach.
