In the opening practice session for Michelin Pilot Challenge Aston Martin looks to be a strong contender as they take 1-2 in the opening session with the Van Der Steur entered car taking first over with Trenton Estep laying down a 1:28.992 with Thomas Merril ending the session in P2 just 0.143 off of Estep’s fastest time. Jaxon Bell ended the session in third place aboard his Copeland Koch Toyota Supra. In TCR the 93 MMG Honda Civic of LP Montour layed down a fastest lap of 1:30.151 that lap put them 12th overall. The 60 minute session had one red flag for an incident involving the 30 LAP Motorsports Ford Mustang and Circle H Aston Martin in turn 11. It led to debris getting laid down on the circuit. As a result the 14 Aston Martin will lose it’s fastest lap in qualifying. The teams will have one more practice session today with qualifying to end out the day.
