Porsche Carrera Cup set to kick off 2027 at Daytona

Porsche Carrera Cup North America will have a new opening round to start off the 2027 season. For the first time the series will visit the World Center of Racing Daytona International Speedway on the weekend of the Rolex 24. The series will continue to run a pair of 40 minute races a weekend. The addition of Daytona will come at the expense of Watkins Glenn and Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a reduction to 7 events amid cost saving measures for the teams. Sebring will play host to the second round of the championship followed by a second consecutive year of playing support for F1 at Miami. They will play support to F1 at COTA as well.
